Election Bun Toons. YAY!

Remember to vote, or the terrorists win.

We’ve heard it all….the economy, the dog-on-the-roof, the birth certificate and the bully haircut.  There’s so many important issues to help Americans decide the way to vote on Tuesday, but the most important issue is never discussed.

This, is….

Oh, I suppose, health care and women’s rights matter, too, but it’s about priorities.

Go vote, and let me know how it goes on Tuesday…I’m Canadian, and we don’t report on the elections up here.  There’s hockey scores to talk about.

Ty the Guy OUT!

And now, your BONUS election Comic Book Moments:

Oh, that my comic collection included this gem….

And this…

A comic book by political columnist Greg Palast, and some Kennedy kid, about insisting on your rights at the polling booth. It’s like comics are educational, or something.

  1. Hey, we have loads of hockey scores down here to keep us occupied, too. We just read the Canadian papers online now…

    Cheers!

  2. You do know that the NHL is on strike at the moment, right? There are thousands of sports journalists who do not know what to do with their days…

    • Ha! Actually–I’m not sure Ty DOES know that!! In truth, Ty is much more obsessed with politics than sports, and follows the election coverage pretty relentlessly. (At an after-convention dinner recently, someone brought up American politics and everyone immediately looked at Ty and panicked–they knew that was all the conversation would be about for the next hour)

  3. Actually, I’m sure that Ty is perfectly aware that the NHL is locked out. But as any true Canadian knows, the NHL is not, by definition, “Hockey”. He was referring, of course, to the OHL, the AHL, the QMHL, the WHL, all of which, are un-affected by the billionaires vs the millionaires squabble, and the scores of which are readily available in our Canadian newspapers. Are the folks down south having an election or something?

  4. Um, Grunge was the greatest music movement ever, seriously (maybe you’re confused with post-grunge like Bush?), and it happened under one of our best presidents too; this may just be the first time I’ve ever disagreed with one of your theories.
