“I’m going to say I’m flattered by that”? Hell, who wouldn’t be?
Just finished reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which is by the same author as Pride & Prejudice and Zombies. NOT well done (and the trailer for the movie isn’t promising, either). Problem with the book was the author’s decision to structure it as a Lincoln biography with the vampire bits tacked on — the same ‘mash-up’ technique as in P&P&Z but there, at least, he was starting with a novel — as you know, biographies and novels are structured altogether differently and the result is that the novel is sluggish beyond words. It would have been better to take one relatively brief period in Lincoln’s life and put all the vampire stuff in there. Also (spoiler alert) you find out at the end that WW2 was the result of a vampire outbreak as well, and the thing just collapses under the weight of its own silliness. Great title, though – it would (and should) have made a good 10-minute SNL skit.

  2. Any reason Vampire-Wolf-Boy for some reason reminds me of the college photos of Mitt Romney, hmmm?

    Cheers!

  3. Thrilled to see Contessa back, but I don’t think you can top that first strip. It was so perfect. One hilarious, jaw-dropping reveal after another.

  4. Add another hot babe?

  5. A-ha! So you ARE planning more Contessa stories 🙂 Ambitious, Ty.
