Yes! It’s FREE COMIC BOOK DAY in the fall, and it features not one, but TWO comics by Dan Slott and myself. Remember, you can’t spell “FREE COMICS” without Dan Slott and Ty Templeton. And I’ll be appearing in person at STADIUM COMICS in Brampton’s SHOPPERS WORLD MALL to give the lovely treats away! (See yesterday’s Art Land Post for details).

I so dig the subtle differences in rendering the gray parts of Batman’s costume vs the blue-black parts! That is mastery!
XMas: if you take home the wrong woman, you are condemned to freeze to death outside.
Halloween: if you take home the wrong woman, you have a reasonable excuse (“honey, with the mask I could not tell…”).

John, that BA cover was done by Bruce Timm, not Ty. But yes, it is nicely colored.
I just prefer Halloween because it’s not about relationships or religion or income or anxiety. It’s about self-expression and community. Have fun everyone!
Yes, I wrote and drew the comics contained inside, but did not draw either of those covers. It’s okay to love Bruce Timm…who doesn’t?
