Ty cannot come to the Bun Toon today, as he is at a large comic convention in Toronto. At the sound of the beep, please enjoy these Bun Toon re-runs.
I’m slaving away, sketching and yakking it up for the fans today, and left my house within five minutes of my waking up.
The convention has me seated right next to my old pal Kevin Maguire today…so it seems appropriate to run this ancient Bun Toon about myself, Kevin and one of Kevin’s fans … None of the names have been changed. Screw the innocent.
I’m fairly sure there won’t be anyone to confuse the two of us anymore…now that both of us are BALD OLD MEN who wear glasses when we ink. It’s a world of difference between us…I’m the loud one.
See you at the convention, T-dot peeples!
Ty the Guy OUT!
Another Ancient Bun Toon to tide you over until I’m back from the convention. This one hasn’t run on this website, I believe….so it’s sort of new to you guys. Click on it it might get big enough to read…

This reminds me of the Occupational Hazards comic from the CBLDF. I bet Kevin could’ve drawn this aces-like though. 😀
An ancient Bun Toon that hasn’t run on this site…? Pray tell, where else may one obtain ancient Bunny?
And forgive me, but in bleary-eyed stupor I read panel 6 of the Ancient Bunny as “I’ll try to keep my nuts about me”. I prefer my line.
Sorry I forgot to say hi to you yesterday, but I was talking to Kevin, and , well, Kevin Maguire. So y’know.
Now THAT was funny! 🙂
I can’t believe someone thought you were Kevin Maguire. He doesn’t look anything at all like you. He’s not a bunny.
By the way, that Ancient Bunny strip is a lovely little lesson in setting up a page so that a conversation is visually interesting. The changing camera angles and POVs — very cool, as is the physical business in each panel (the signing of the papers, the whispered side comment gesture). And the last panel ‘button’ is quite nice — the top of the panel is sort of creepy and ominous leading to the mundane “That’ll be ten-fifty”. Well done, sir!
(It’s also true of the Not So Ancient Bunny strip, but I think maybe the lack of color in the older strip made me really notice the design elements.)
If only every comic page I saw was this well-crafted. Thanks, Ty!
