The hype has been unrelenting. There is no escape. By now, everyone on Earth has seen at least a commercial or two…
But is it worth it?
I could go into details, and tell you bits and pieces that worked and didn’t work. But none of that really matters. The movie kicks major ass.
I may even see it again….despite having all the issues of the original run of the Guardians and being one of those old fans who gets cranky when they get the costumes wrong…
Ty the Guy OUT!

Yes, they really looked like this in their first issue. And they WEREN’T a big hit, you say?!?

I am not a Marvel reader or fan of Marvel films but this one I may go see because it just feels different. Thanks for your cartoon explanation Ty. 🙂
I was a huge fan of the original Guardians, until Gerber left the book. It was the perfect combination of trippy and space opera.
Funny as always, but I have one, nit-picky question: shouldn’t it be: “Far FEWER people read the Drax the Destroyer series…”?
Michael: You are correct. It should be far fewer, not far less. It also should say “Guardians of the Galaxy WAS….” not “Guardians of the Galaxy were…” in the first panel (the grammar glitch you didn’t spot!). I admit freely that I write/draw/colour/post these Bun Toons in about two hours on a Saturday morning, and grammar and spelling often pass me right by at the speed I’m going.
