Ty has been so pleased by the response to Michel Fiffe’s interview, and to seeing some of Ty’s old art, that he’s been going through his fifteen sketchbooks, and some of the stacks of older artwork. He’s been asking me what I think he should scan–he’s got a Kelvin Mace cover which was never published, he’s got a bunch of short Stig’s Inferno stories he’s done…lots of one-off cartoons. He’s even mulling the possibility of an all-new all-original story featuring that blond guy who lives in the hot place…
Part 4 of Michel Fiffe’s interview with Ty is up and going over at The Comics Journal. Two pages of Ty’s thoughts on religion and his own style.
The last part of the interview will be up on Monday morning.
The Comics Journal has posted Part 3 of Michel Fiffe’s interview with Ty.
Michel Fiffe has posted lots and lots and lots of images of Ty’s work over on his blog…and there’s stuff I wish I had for this site! So, go check it out…I’m not sure Ty has some of this stuff anymore.
(I was amused to see “Dinosaurs at the Bar”–Ty recently drew an homage of sorts to this for someone who was a big, big fan of the original).
Came home to find Ty pleased and pshaw-ing at the same time (haven’t got a better second “p” verb–one will occur to me and I’ll fix that sentence!). Michel Fiffe interviewed Ty a while back for The Comics Journal, and Part 1 is online.
The actual interview was Ty answering Michel’s questions, so he expected all that, but Michel wrote an amazing intro to it. Ty’s all humbled and blushing…he even tried to dissuade me from posting this. Like that’s ever worked!
