I tried to find a comic book featuring the word “SHITHOLE” in the title, just to keep the bonus section topical, but the closest I could come was this late 20th Century treasure from Great Britain featuring the talents that helped create Judge Dredd.

Thank god for the new era of civil discourse and class.  I’m happy to contribute to the destruction of the culture.

Ah, what a delightful week it’s been.

People are asking questions….what can I do?  Where can I help?  What is the solution?

Well, I’m here to instruct.

I’m encouraged by the anti-Nazi turnout in Boston today.  I’m encouraged the PayPal and Facebook and many other digital platforms have discovered a “No-Nazis” rule lately.  I’m encouraged that America is woke to racism now that a white woman is dead.

But we still have a few more Nazis to punch before they get the message.  I want those hate filled vermin to feel fear to leave their homes with “88” tattoos, or white power symbols.

No slope.  No slippery.

Punch a Nazi today.

It goes without saying how much Adam West impacted my life.  I was EXACTLY the right age to become a lifelong fan when Batman come into our living room in 1966.  I remember the Adam West style Batman and Robin costumes my mother sewed for my brother and me when the show was still on the air.  I remember how excited I was to grow out of the Robin costume and finally fit into the Batman suit so I could be the Caped Crusader for Halloween in 1970.  It’s no coincidence that the lion’s share of my work for DC Comics takes place in Gotham City, from the animated Batman series, to the recent Batman 66 series, starring Adam West himself, it’s always my happiest place to be with Batman.

Thanks for the recent animated movies, and “Back to the Batcave” and Family Guy.  Thanks for the years of unbridled joy.

This is, maybe, my favourite portrait I ever did of Adam West’s Batman.  It’s hard to see in this image, but this drawing is on the back of a playing card, a fan brought to the table, and is only about three inches tall.

Scum and Villainy Bun Toons! BOO!

Bwah-hah-hah, I said, while rubbing my hands together.

It’s been a fun week for American politics.  Whether or not you support Trump, it’s hard not to notice that he’s cavorted into a buzz saw in the last few days.  Russian collusion, obstruction of justice, lying to the press, eating steak with ketchup…it’s all too heinous to believe Trump is a regular old villain….

This is YOUR chance to turn the whole meshuga into a metaphor I can wrap my teeth around.  Please vote for…

We’ll be tabulating votes until he’s impeached…I have money on his not lasting until Christmas.

My first thought was the Ventriloquist…

But the President’s eloquent statement:  “Puppet? No puppet!  You’re the puppet!” rendered this idea moot.

This is not my first time turning Trump into a comic book villain.  Below is a convention sketch I did (at the fan’s suggestion) right after Trump won the election late last year.

And I’m hardly the first one to notice the Trump/Luthor connection…

But again, one of them is actually smart, and both are actually fictional.

If I have one message to share during this season of peace, it’s that we should all take the time and really ball-kick someone who deserves it.

In other considerations, I went to see Doctor Strange this week.  It was really entertaining, with some excellent set pieces and a delightful cast. It has the same spirit as ANT-MAN or GUARDIANS of the GALAXY–a surprisingly fun turn for one of Marvel’s lesser stars.

Consider me a Cumberbitch.

You know, I didn’t much love Bush, Romney, or McCain, and greatly disliked Nixon and Bush Jr., but none of them convinced me we were seeing the end of American history if they got elected.  It was a matter of degrees with them.

Trump is an extinction event for American democracy.  That’s not hyperbole, that’s a stone fact.
