Breaking Bun Toons! Not so Bad! YAY!

After tomorrow night, what the hell do we do with ourselves?

I’m not going to pretend I’m not part of the deluge of fans who is pacing the floor and biting his nails, wondering what’s going to happen to Walter White and the gang on the old Video-Tube tomorrow night.

I don’t KNOW any of the spoilers for the last episode, but I went online and looked up what the bookies think are more and less likely.  And like a good reporter, I bring you guys the news.

If it doesn’t end with a scimitar fight, then this ISN’T the best written show on TV, mark my words.  Both “I Dream of Genie” and “The Sopranos” ended with scimitar fights, so it’s become the de rigeur way of doing it.

No jumping to conclusions here…though I might hop to one or two.

Give it a minute and we’ll have another mass shooting somewhere in the lower 48.  This time around, the conversation has settled down on the obvious causes and there’s no more pesky controversy.

I’m amazed this was ever up for discussion.

The next time someone suggests that murder and violence is caused by anything BUT games, laugh in their face like the blithering moron that they are.

The evidence is IN.

Years ago, the Kefauver hearings in Congress determined beyond a shadow of a doubt that comic books caused juvenile delinquency and society was saved by the Comics Code Authority.

So where was the Code when THIS video game comic book tie-in was released.  Who was thinking of the CHILDREN?!?  HOW MANY DIED in the aftermath?!?

I suspect the comic’s publisher died shortly after this was released. I’ve never heard of ’em since.

Bun Toons Writes Itself! YAY!

Ya can’t write this stuff….or at least I can’t.

Oh, internet.  Are ye always going to be this way?  Sigh…

I tried, and tried and tried to put a funny “spin” on this event, but nothing was funnier than the event itself.  I’m not sure who pushed the first domino to get this over-reaction going (I think it was Jezebel.com, but I could be wrong), but whoever they were, they gave internet journalism a bad name.  And yes, I know exactly what I’m saying with every word in that sentence.

And now, please let loose with the barrage of comments telling me I’m wrong and how as a man, I can’t understand any of this….before I tell you how much of this bun toon was actually written by my wife.

The internet is usually a quiet place where people are calm and don’t overreact to things.  But this week, the comic fans on the web are up in arms about not getting something they want.  Since that never happens, I had no choice but to roll up my sleeves and pitch in…

Waking Up and Drawing

Too busy for anything but WorkWorkWork but I wanted to show off what I did for WAKE UP AND DRAW. So I’m going to write this Hemingway style.

Deflating Bun Toons. Meh….

Yesterday, the spirit was willing, or the flesh was, but not both…. I can’t really remember…

I’ve been hard at work on a Batman story, and just crippled with exhaustion and sluggish body parts from either a Con Flu Virus just grazing my system,  or a sense of crippling ennui from the whole Ben Affleck and Miley Cyrus discussions I can’t seem to avoid.  At any rate, I didn’t really get out of bed all day yesterday, so the Bun Toon is a day late.  Of course, who’s to say I’m not still getting over the following conversation that was part of my Fan Expo experience last weekend?

The names have been changed to protect the innocent.  Wait…I never mentioned her name, just mine.   And Alan can go to hell, he never got a single pilot on the air.
